SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS

I. CULTURE IMMERSION PROGRAM
The Culture Immersion Program offers participants the opportunity to learn, understand, and appreciate the Latin culture through various community connections with local professionals, service learning projects, and outings to explore Costa Rica’s diverse geography, climate, and natural resources.  
We are based in the town of Atenas, Costa Rica on two facilities Town Student Center  and Green Classroom. Located thirty minutes from the International Airport, Atenas is a small, safe town renowned for its beautiful surroundings, central location, and moderate temperatures.

II. BUSINESS IMMERSION PROGRAM
Operating and succeeding in business today requires a strong global understanding of economics and interpersonal skills for multi-ethnic workplaces.  Our Business Immersion Program offers a unique international cross-cultural experience learning about Costa Rica’s economy and culture. Students are engaged in roundtable discussions with community business leaders and professional experts, participate in internships, and explore the diverse natural environment of Costa Rica.

III. SPANISH/ESL TEACHER PROGRAM
This program is specifically designed to enrich the professional experience of Spanish teachers.  Spanish classes are instructed at an advanced level and there is in-depth exposure to the Latin culture, customs, and traditions of Costa Rica. Teachers live with a local host family in Atenas and participate in activities at a local Spanish speaking school.

IV. SCIENCE PROGRAM
Our Science Program provides an inquiry/problem-based approach of the scientific process using the abundant natural resources in Costa Rica.  Students are engaged in hands-on labs and analysis in different ecological environments of Costa Rica.  They discover important concepts related to biology, earth and environmental science, and the relationship between culture and science .

V. ADVENTURE TREK       
The Adventure Trek engages teachers, educators, and/or students in action packed cultural immersion experiences throughout different areas of Costa Rica.  Every day presents new excursions to study and explore  the diverse flora and fauna, geography, climate, natural resources, as well as the fascinating Latin culture, customs, and traditions of Costa Rica.
