Excursions bring a great sense of adventure to your Costa Rican immersion experience!   Sailing through the rainforest canopy on a zip-line, snorkeling through colorful tropical fish and coral, and hiking up a real volcano and marveling at cascading waterfalls are just some of the thrills you can seek with our program.

We also take trips to meet local artisans and learn about Costa Rica’s fascinating culture and history at the National Museum of Culture and the famous National Theater.

• visit the INBio Environmental Center (Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad), which has hands-on science projects in different native ecosystems; tropical humid forest, dry forest, and central valley forest
