FAQ's

In this section we have selected the most Frequently Asked Questions that our students ask us and our answers to these questions.

1. Why are we called Cultural Center Spanish and Fun?

At our Center, we believe that verbal communication and culture go hand in hand.  This is why we have designed programs rich in cultural content while presenting a new language. We also believe that the best way to learn a new language is in a pleasant, non-threatening atmosphere, enjoying what you do, making new friends and having fun while you learn.

2. Is Atenas Costa Rica a tourist city?  Is it expensive?

Atenas is not a tourist destination. The population does, however, include a large number of Americans, Europeans and Canadians who have settled here.  Because it is a small Costa Rican town, costs are very reasonable.  The relation between quality of life and price is one of the best of the country.

3. Do I need to have a certain level of Spanish in order to study at Spanish and Fun?

Absolutely not.  When you arrive to our Center you will take a simple written and verbal test that allows us to place you in the appropriate level for instruction.  We adjust our instruction to meet your needs.
