HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM SPANISH ABROAD
Spanish Field Studies for High School Spanish Teachers and Students
If you are a high school Spanish teacher, this is a wonderful opportunity to travel with your students to a Spanish-speaking country where your students will improve their Spanish skills and explore the culture and natural beauty of Costa Rica. Details of our program are listed below, but we would be glad to work with you to tailor the program to your specific needs.
Our High School Program is held in the town of Atenas, Costa Rica. Located 30 minutes from the International Airport, Atenas is a small, safe town renowned for its beautiful surroundings, central location and moderate temperatures.
Programs start first and third Monday of the month year around.

Two Week Teenage Program
Package I: Price $950
Students will live with a home stay family, have a total of 24 hours of Spanish language instruction over the two weeks, community service projects to choose at a local orphanage, homeless shelter, agriculture farm, or elder home, dancing class, language exchange class with local teenagers taking English as a Second Language, five day trips; Volcano Poas, Jaco Beach on Pacific coast, the capital of San Jose to visit the theater and museums, and to the towns of Heredia, Sarchi and Zarcero to see local artisans and attractions. Final evening will be a farewell dinner together with home stay families and presentation of program completion certificates.

Package II: Price $1,180
Students will live with a
home stay family, have a total of 24 hours of Spanish language instruction over the two weeks, 4 community service projects at a local orphanage, homeless shelter, agriculture farm, and elder home, dancing class, language exchange class with local teenagers taking English as a Second Language, one overnight trip to beach on Pacific coast called Tortuga Island in Puntarenas and the next day a gondola ride in rainforest, three day trips; one to the capital of San Jose to the theater and museums, the others to the towns of Heredia, Sarchi and Zarcero to see local artisans and attractions. Final evening will be a farewell dinner together with home stay families and presentation of program completion certificates.

Package III: Price $1,280
Students will live with a home stay family, have a total of 24 hours of Spanish language instruction over the two weeks, 4 community service projects at a local orphanage, homeless shelter, agriculture farm, and elder home, dancing class, language exchange class with local teenagers taking English as a Second
Language, one overnight trip to the Playa Manuel Antonio Beach and the National Park of Manuel Antonio, three day trips; one to the capital of San Jose to the theater and museums, the others to the towns of Heredia, Sarchi and Zarcero to see local artisans and attractions. Final evening will be a farewell dinner together with home stay families and presentation of program completion certificates.
